My name is Spandan Kumar Sahu. I am a 3rd year undergraduate student in the department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, enrolled in its dual degree course (BTech + MTech in 5years, 2015-2020 batch). I am from Pradeep, Odisha.

My hobbies are robotics and playing cricket. I love adventures, picnic trips, movies and music. I fancy TV series at times, with Game of Thrones, being one of my favorite. I also like reading novels, in my spare time.
On academic front, my interests lie in distributed systems, machine learning, deep neural networks, re-inforcement learning, image processing, computer perception. Swarm systems is what excites me the most.
I am an amiable person, with an occasional sense of humor (and sometimes, I am pretty terrible at it :P). I am a smart-working and knowledge-oriented person.
I have decent leadership and communication skills. My greatest strength, I believe, is the knowledge of my abilities and limitations in a way that, I don't oversell or undervalue myself. I prefer challenging works, but I refrain away from those, which are apparently beyond my capabilites in a given time frame.
Occasionally I go for some pet projects, out of sheer interest or for the sake of fun. I didn't include any of those in my CV, and hence I am documenting it here. If this section grows to a considerable size, I would create a seperate header for it.
